Welcome To The Don't Bomb Comedy League!

5 Minutes ON The Clock

Each comic gets 5 minutes to win over the room. Make sure you start fast. At 2 minutes, the Bomb Rule takes effect!

The Bomb Rule

If you bomb within the first 2 minutes, your set stops, alarms sound, and music hits. Once off stage, the crowd throws foam bombs at the target. If someone hits the target, everyone wins discounted drinks!

Survive & Thrive

If you survive the first 2 minutes, you get the full 5 minutes to finish strong. Once finished, the audience will rate your set. Your average score will go towards the nightly competition and the league standings!

Nightly & Season League Prizes

Prizes are awarded to the nightly winner and the comic who brings the most fans that night. The Don't Bomb Comedy League season champion receives a prize pack valued over $2,500 in prizes!

Standings Rules & Details

Season Performance Limits

  • A comic may perform a maximum of four times per season:
    • Two signup appearances
    • Two volunteer-earned appearances

Championship Qualification

  • To be eligible for Championship Night, a comic must perform at least twice during the regular season.

Scoring System

  • Scores are based on the comic’s average audience rating for that performance. Audience members submit ratings electronically during each set, and the final score is the verified average of those ratings.
  • If a comic bombs, they will automatically receive a 1.0 rating for that performance.
  • A bomb is defined as failing to generate sufficient measurable audience laughter within the first two minutes, as determined by official League review.

Standings Calculation

  • Only a comic’s top two scores from the regular season will count toward their official standing.
  • After a comic has completed two performances, any lower score earned in a third or fourth appearance will be dropped and will not reduce their overall average. Additional performances may improve a comic’s standing but cannot lower it once two qualifying scores are recorded.

Championship Field

  • At the conclusion of Week 15, the top 15 comics in the official standings that have performed at least twice will advance to Championship Night.
